I am a grade eight educator in the Middle Years program at Nechako Valley Secondary School (MYNVSS) who is passionate about the environment, physical activity, Indigenous ways of knowing and being as well as inquiry and life-long learning.  For five years, I have delved deeper and deeper into my passion about teaching and learning in different environments, in particular the outdoors. This exploration has resulted in powerful community building, creating a strong sense of belonging as well as sparking further curiousity. The grade eight learners and I will share our story about place- and land-based learning as we are forming community this school year and learning about our place. There will be time for questions and a short discussion!
