Engineering and Sustainability in First Nations Fish Harvesting Traditions

Join to learn about the mathematics behind Coast Salish fish traps. This session contains a panel and a hands-on component. In the panel, you'll learn about the history behind the Tla'amin Nation's fish trapping practices. You’ll then explore code-based resources modelling traps and the impact of greedy harvesting on fish.
